Profile Settings
Manage your personal information and account security at Settings > Profile (/settings/profile).
Personal information
The profile form contains the following fields:
- Name — required; displayed across the platform.
- Email — your login address. Changing it requires you to enter your current password, and a verification link is sent to the new address. You must click that link to confirm the change.
- Company — read-only. If your account is associated with more than one company, a company switcher appears so you can change the active context; the field itself cannot be edited here.
Profile photo
Click Upload photo (or hover over your avatar and click the camera icon) to replace your profile photo. Accepted formats: JPEG, PNG, or WebP, 2 MB maximum.
Updating your information
- Navigate to Settings > Profile.
- Edit your name or email as needed.
- If you changed your email, enter your current password in the field that appears.
- Click Save Changes.
Password management
This section is only shown for accounts that use email/password login. It does not appear for OAuth accounts (Google, Microsoft, or Okta).
Changing your password
- Scroll to the Change password section.
- Enter your current password.
- Enter a new password (minimum 8 characters).
- Enter the new password again in Confirm new password.
- Click Save Changes.
OAuth accounts
If you signed in through Google, Microsoft, or Okta, password management is handled by your identity provider. The change-password section is hidden for your account, and you will see an "OAuth account" notice instead.
Two-factor authentication (2FA)
The Two-factor authentication section appears only for email/password accounts. OAuth users do not see this section because authentication is delegated to the OAuth provider.
From this section you can:
- Enable 2FA using an authenticator app (TOTP).
- Disable 2FA if it is currently active.
Note for administrators: Requiring 2FA for all users in your organization is an admin-level action and is not configured from this page. Contact your account administrator or refer to your organization's security policy.
Email verification
If your email address is unverified, a banner appears at the top of the profile form. Click Resend email to get a new verification link sent to your current address.
Troubleshooting
I cannot edit the Company field. The company field is always read-only on this page. To change your company association, contact your MSP administrator.
I do not see a 2FA section. Your account uses OAuth login (Google, Microsoft, or Okta). 2FA is managed by your identity provider, not by xClause.
I changed my email but cannot log in. Check your inbox (and spam folder) for a verification link sent to the new address. Until you click the link, your previous email address remains active for login.
I need to reset my password. Use the Forgot password link on the sign-in page, or contact support at support@xclause.com.
